Mister Mover is a transport and
logistics collaboration between ISCOS
and 14 halfway houses,
started to provide meaningful employment and opportunities for the
residents to interact with society. At the same time, the income
earned would help support the expenses of the houses.
Our workers are not the best but they are always ready to try that
much harder. They know that when customers call up for a job to
be done, they are being given a second chance. |

Moving need not be a hassle if you follow
a few simple rules. Plan your time
Fix the date and time for your move. This includes procuring packing
material, time for packing, etc. The time required depends on the
number of items you have and the number of people available to assist
you. Special Instructions
If you have any special instructions for the movers, let them know
in advance to ensure a smooth moving experience. Layout
and the new place
Know the layout of the new place and decide ahead of time the positioning
of furniture such as beds, cabinets and book shelves. Items like
piano, refrigerator and ovens, and other bulky items should also
be pre-planned. If there are renovation works, make sure that the
contractors complete the job on time, and carry out a thorough cleaning
before moving in. |

Other useful pointers |
|
| |
|
|
| |
- Identify bulky items such as piano, computers,
and furniture and load them first to get them out of the way.
- Label and count the boxes. It helps during
unpacking to know the contents of each box.
- Valuables and fragile items such as paintings
and crystals should be carried separately. If these are large,
give special instructions to the movers.
- Do not attempt to lift things which are
too heavy as this may cause serious injury.
